The plant is a deciduous climbing vine reaching a height of 2.5–3 meters. The pinnately compound leaves are dark green.

The flowers, 12–19 cm in diameter, consist of 5–6 broad elliptical petals of a purple-pink or deep reddish-pink shade with brown stamens. The flowering period lasts from July to early autumn.

The variety belongs to a pruning group that requires heavy pruning of shoots in autumn. The plant is suitable for vertical landscaping of arbors, trees, or for use as a ground cover crop.
