The vine reaches a height of 1.2–1.8 m. Large flowers 14–20 cm in diameter consist of 6 elliptical petals of beet-purple color with a darker “velvet” stripe in the center. The anthers are brownish-purple on white filaments.

The plant is intended for cultivation on pergolas, trellises, and in containers, and can also be used as a cut flower. The variety is winter-hardy and blooms from June to August or September. Pruning group 3 is recommended, with removal of shoots at a height of about 15 cm from the ground before winter.
