The vine reaches a height of 2.0–3.0 meters. The flowers are large, 8–12 cm in diameter, dark violet, almost black in color with contrasting light yellow or yellow-green stamens. The variety is intended for vertical gardening and is suitable for container cultivation.

Flowering occurs from July to September on current-year shoots. The variety requires hard pruning to a level of 20 cm from the ground. The plant is characterized by winter hardiness; under unfavorable conditions, it may be affected by powdery mildew.
