The plant forms a dense rosette of sword-shaped leathery leaves 30–50 cm long. With age, the variety can form a branched crown, reaching a height from 0.6–1 m in containers to 2.5–4 m at maturity.

Flowering in cultivation is rare; when it occurs, it consists of paniculate inflorescences with small creamy-white fragrant flowers. The variety is intended for landscape design and container gardening.

The plant is not frost-hardy, belongs to USDA zones 9–11, and requires protection from frost. It is demanding of soil drainage due to sensitivity to waterlogging and may be affected by scale insects and spider mites in protected cultivation.
