Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant forms a vigorously growing shrub with a dense crown that requires pruning to maintain light regime. The variety is early-maturing; nuts ripen 10–15 days earlier than the 'Barcelona' variety, usually in mid-September, and separate well from the husk.

The fruits are spherical in shape and brown in color, with a kernel yield ranging from 49% to 53%. The kernels possess high organoleptic qualities and are easily blanched, which makes them suitable for sale as shelled nuts, fresh consumption, roasting, and use in chocolate production.

The variety possesses quantitative resistance to eastern filbert blight, caused by the fungus Anisogramma anomala, and shows resistance to big bud mite. Productive cultivation requires disease monitoring and the selection of pollinator varieties to ensure cross-pollination.
