The plant is a vigorous shrub 2.5–6 meters in height. The main ornamental feature is the leaf coloration: in spring it is reddish-brown or bronze, and by summer it can take on a dark green or bronze-green hue.
The nuts are brown in color, sometimes with a reddish tinge on the shell; the kernels are noted for their sweet aroma. The plant prefers sunny or partially shaded locations with fertile, drained soils. The variety is not self-fertile, therefore, the presence of pollinator varieties is required for stable yield.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
