Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the group of red-leaved hybrids of common and large hazel. The vigorous bush possesses ornamental foliage: in spring and autumn it has a pronounced red hue, while in summer the leaves on the shoot tips remain predominantly red.

The fruits with an average weight of about 2 g are covered with a thin shell; the husk is significantly longer than the nut itself. The variety ripens in the mid-season, in the second half of September or early October, and provides a yield in the volume of 5 to 8 kg per bush.

The plant possesses good frost resistance. The primary purpose of the variety is the production of edible nuts, decorative landscape design, and pollination of other hazelnut varieties.
