The shrub or tree reaches a height of 4.5–5 meters. In spring and autumn, the foliage is red; in summer, it turns green while retaining a reddish hue at the tips of the shoots.

The fruits are elongated-oval in shape, weigh 2–3 grams, and have a thin red-brown shell. The variety is of medium maturity; the harvest is collected in the second half of September or early October.

The plant possesses above-average winter hardiness. The yield is 5–8 kg per bush.
