Variety description

The variety is a compact shrub with a slow growth rate, reaching a height of 0.6 to 1.5 m. The plant forms dense shoots that maintain a rounded or broadly rounded shape without additional staking.

The leaves are rounded in shape, colored deep wine-red in spring, turning dark purple in summer, and acquiring shades of red, orange, and gold in autumn. Flowering occurs in June-July with delicate panicle inflorescences.

The plant possesses high winter hardiness down to -34 °C and drought tolerance. It prefers sunny sites to maintain leaf color intensity and well-drained, moderately fertile soils, poorly tolerating moisture stagnation. It may be affected by powdery mildew and Verticillium wilt.
