The Turunchukskaja variety is a medium-sized tree. The fruits have an apple-like shape and golden-yellow skin; their weight can exceed 300 grams. The variety belongs to groups whose fruits are intended for processing into marmalade, jams, and jelly.

The variety is characterized by a late autumn ripening period — the fruits are ready for harvest in October. The plant is demanding of growing conditions and requires fertile, permeable soils and sufficient lighting.

This variety is known as a parent form in breeding work, in particular for the creation of intergeneric quince-apple hybrids.
