Cydora Robusta
ActiveCydonia oblonga Mill. · Quince

The fruits of the variety have a greenish-yellow color and an elongated shape, sometimes described as pumpkin-like. The flesh of the fruits is sweet, with a fine texture, maintaining its shape well when cooked, which makes them suitable for making jams and jellies. The skin is covered with easily removable fuzz.
The tree forms a spreading compact crown. Its height depends on the rootstock: it reaches 3 meters on dwarf rootstocks and up to 5 meters on semi-dwarf rootstocks. The variety is self-fertile and is characterized by reliable regular fruiting, although it ripens late, in October–November.
The variety is intended for culinary use and ornamental cultivation due to large flowers in shades of pink and red. It may be susceptible to fungal diseases, in particular, leaf spot.
