The variety is classified as late-ripening and is characterized by an average number of lateral shoots on the main stem. The heads are green, medium-sized, and distinguished by a slower radial growth rate compared to some other varieties.

The plant is a vegetatively propagated traditional variety. Genetically, the variety shows signs of admixture between different artichoke groups. In addition to food use, the plant biomass is used in the pharmaceutical industry to obtain extracts containing cynarin.
