The variety Roter Elefant (number 6 in the Dschungelstar series) is an aquarium plant reaching a height of 50–60 cm. Its growth rates are characterized as moderate, with the appearance of 2–4 leaves per month.
The plant is undemanding in care and well-suited for keeping in aquariums with cichlid fish. Reproduction occurs vegetatively through the formation of daughter plants on elongated flower stalks in a submerged state.
