Variety description

The variety is a rosette plant 15–30 cm in height and 10–15 cm in width. Young leaves have a pink hue, which as the plant develops changes to red with distinct green veins; leaf blade margins are undulate.

The plant belongs to slow-growing species. To maintain intense coloration, it requires bright lighting, prefers nutrient-rich substrate, the use of root and liquid fertilizers, as well as CO2 supply. Optimal water parameters: temperature 20–28 °C, pH 6.0–7.5, hardness 4–20 dGH.

Propagated vegetatively by daughter plants forming on flower stalks. Used in aquaristics as a decorative solitary plant for accents, suitable for small-volume aquariums.
