The plant forms a compact rosette of narrow-ovate leaves up to 20 cm long and up to 10 cm wide on petioles up to 10 cm long. In an aquarium, it reaches a height of 30–40 cm, and when grown in an emersed form, up to 1 meter.
A characteristic feature is the contrasting pattern: dense dark red spots are located on a reddish-brown or light green background. Young leaves have a more intense color, while older ones acquire a moss-green shade over time.
The variety is fast-growing and undemanding in terms of maintenance conditions. The intensity of the leaf's red color depends on the light level. It propagates vegetatively by daughter plants on flower stalks or by rhizome division.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
