The variety Roter Leopard, also known as Echinodorus Dschungelstar Nr. 10, is a rosette-forming plant with broad or elongated leaves. A characteristic feature of the variety is the presence of a spotted pattern on the leaf blades, with young leaves often being translucent and having more intensive coloration. In adult specimens, the color varies from dark red to greenish-red.

The plant height is usually up to 25 cm, although in individual cases it can reach 45 cm. The variety is considered hardy, however, with insufficient lighting levels, the leaves lose their red color and turn green. For successful cultivation, the use of mineral fertilizers is recommended.
