The variety is a local form adapted to the conditions of the Carinthia region. The plant belongs to diploid (2x) varieties and is characterized by low growth and early onset of flowering with pink flowers. Questions regarding the maturity of the variety are ambiguous: in a number of studies, it is classified as late-maturing, however, official data indicate early ripening.
The grain of the variety is traditionally used for the production of gluten-free flour, which is used in the preparation of buckwheat porridge, flatbreads, and baked goods. In comparative trials, the variety demonstrated specific grain moisture levels at harvest.
