The plant possesses the ability to adapt to cultivation on weak soils. Research has shown its relative resistance to the absence of pollinating insects, under which the variety lost about 35% of its yield. The variety is also valued for its nectar-bearing qualities and its ability to suppress weed vegetation in fields.
