The variety has very late maturity and an indeterminategrowth type. The plant forms a bushy root system penetrating the soil to a depth of up to 30 cm and provides rapid soil surface coverage.
The variety reliably winterkills at temperatures close to zero, which facilitates field preparation for subsequent crops. In crop rotations with sugar beet, use of the variety is not recommended due to the risk of difficult-to-control seed dispersal.
When grown as an intermediate crop, sowing is performed from early July to mid-August with a seeding rate of 50–70 kg/ha at a depth of about 3 cm. The variety efficiently absorbs mineral nutrients, however, excessive nitrogen nutrition can lead to lodging and delayed maturity.
