Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety Teacher, also known by the experimental designation PPG-TF 313, is a specialized turf-type tall fescue. Unlike traditional forage varieties, it has a lower growth habit and improved aesthetic characteristics, making it in demand for sod production.

The plant has good adaptation to the transition zone climate, demonstrating high resistance to wear, heat, and drought conditions. The variety is regularly tested in the NTEP system, where its overall quality indicators are evaluated, and it is included in the recommended variety lists for landscaping in a number of U.S. states.
