The Nigella variety belongs to the subspecies Festuca rubra L. ssp. littoralis (slender creeping red fescue). The plant possesses high turf density and maintains high visual quality when used as a lawn grass.
The variety possesses pronounced winter hardiness, which allows it to be used in regions with severe climatic conditions. Exhibits resistance to red thread disease.
