The variety is a common type of fig, does not require pollination by the blastophaga wasp, and can produce two crops per season. The tree is characterized by medium to high vigor; when grown in containers, it requires pruning to control size.
The fruits have an elongated shape and dark purple, almost black skin; the flesh is colored amber-red. The flavor of the fruits is rated as moderately sweet with berry notes. The eye of the fruit is semi-closed.
The variety has moderate winter hardiness and in cold climates requires protection or keeping in a container with a cool overwintering. It is intended primarily for fresh consumption and is suitable for processing.
