The variety belongs to the uniferous type, meaning it forms fruit only once per season in the autumn period without producing breba. This variety is a local form of folk selection from the Algarve region, historically used for drying, although in modern conditions it is also considered for fresh market sale. In scientific literature, the variety is often identified as the Cara Lisa variety.
