Violetta
ActiveFicus carica L. · Common fig
Plattner Anton
10 August 2026
The variety is uniferous and produces one main harvest per season, starting in mid-August. The tree is vigorous, reaching a height of 3.5–5 meters with a crown diameter of up to 5–8 meters. Young plants have an upright form, which becomes spreading with age. Leaves are large, slightly lobed.
Fruits have a pear-shaped form and an average weight of about 55–60 grams. The skin is blue-violet with greenish shades, the flesh is red. The variety possesses high resistance to wet weather conditions, due to which the fruits are less prone to cracking during rains.
The variety is considered insufficiently winter-hardy, therefore in regions with a cold climate, cultivation in containers with overwintering in a protected place is recommended.
