Variety description

The variety is vigorous, forming a dense bush or tree 3–5 m in height with spreading branches. It belongs to the San Pedro type: the first crop (breba) sets without pollination, while the second crop may require Blastophaga in some regions. The plant is winter hardy down to -15°C and prefers sunny, sheltered sites with well-drained soils.
First crop fruits are large (100–200 g), rounded, yellow-green or green-violet in color. Second crop fruits are smaller (60–80 g), dark violet or almost black, with a longer stem. The flesh is tender, juicy, sweet, and amber or pinkish in color. The wood is sensitive to gray mold under high humidity conditions.
