The De a Libra variety belongs to the unifera type, forming one harvest in the autumn. The fruits are distinguished by their large size; the skin has a purple base color without regular stripes, with irregularly shaped green spots. The lenticels on the skin surface are medium-sized and pink in color; the fruit flesh has a pink hue.
The plant is productive and possesses good adaptability to various growing conditions in the Canary Islands. The variety has an unknown genetic origin and is considered part of the local cultural heritage; it is included in germplasm study and conservation programs.
