The variety has bell-shaped fruits with a diameter of up to 7.6 cm. The skin is purple in the upper part and greenish-yellow in the lower part. The flesh is red, sweet, but often dry and hard near the fruit's eye.

The tree produces two harvests per season, with the fruits of the second harvest usually being smaller. The variety's name is associated with a hard secondary formation at the apex of the fruit that resembles a stone.
