A variety of Italian origin, known by numerous synonyms, such as Albicello, Albinillo, and others. Historically valued as one of the best varieties for the local market in the Pavia and Milan areas.

A medium-sized plant with predominantly three-lobed leaves. Fruits have yellow-white or golden skin with longitudinal stripes and small white lenticels. The fruiting type is self-fertile, not requiring pollination.

The variety name literally means "white fig," which is why in historical texts it is often encountered as a collective name for a group of white-fruited figs, rather than as a strict varietal designation.
