The Fonnole tree has medium vigor and a spreading crown shape. The variety is uniferous, bearing fruit once a year; the fruit-setting process occurs parthenocarpically, without the need for pollination.

The leaves of the plant are medium-sized, five-lobed, with a wavy margin and a medium-length petiole. The fruits weigh 50–90 g and have a globular asymmetrical shape with a flat apex and a long peduncle.

The skin of the fruits is of medium thickness, colored black-violet with pink lenticels. The pulp is glossy, juicy, dark red in color, and contains numerous medium-sized seeds.
