The variety originates from the Genoa region (Northern Italy) and is a tree with high vigor, reaching 3–6 meters in height. The plant adapts well to container culture and possesses good resistance to adverse weather conditions.

The fruiting type is double-cropping; the variety is self-fertile and does not require pollination by Blastophaga wasps. The fruit ripening period occurs in the second half of September – October. The fruits are large, round-pyriform in shape, and are characterized by high resistance to cracking under high humidity.

The fruit flesh is bright red, juicy, with an intense sweet flavor. The variety is intended primarily for fresh consumption, however, due to its structure, the fruits are also suitable for processing.
