ActiveFicus carica L. · Common fig
Plattner Anton
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the Common group, is self-fertile, and does not require pollination. The fruiting type is bifere, allowing for two harvests per year: breba and the main crop. The tree is characterized by a vigorous, strong growth habit, reaching 3–4 meters in height, and tolerates container cultivation well provided it is pruned.
The fruits have an average weight of about 50 grams and are for versatile use. The skin of the fruit is green-yellow, the flesh is juicy, sweet, and of a whitish-pink hue with a characteristic delicate nutty flavor. The variety is considered undemanding, adapted to the Mediterranean climate, and relatively resistant to low temperatures.
