Violetta
ActiveFicus carica L. · Common fig
Plattner Anton
10 August 2026
Trees are vigorous with thin, drooping branches. Leaves are large, predominantly five-lobed, dark green on top and densely pubescent underneath. The variety produces two harvests per year: the first matures in July, the second from late August to mid-October.
Fruits are medium-sized; the skin is thin and firm, dark violet or nearly black, and prone to cracking upon ripening. The flesh is raspberry or strawberry-colored, juicy, and sweet. The plant is thermophilic, sensitive to severe frosts and excessive moisture, which contributes to fruit fermentation.
