The Testa Di Gatto variety is a local Italian variety common in the Apulia region. The tree is characterized by high growth vigor and a spreading crown; leaves are medium to large in size, 5-lobed, with serrated edges.

The variety is bifere and produces two harvests per year without pollination. Fruits of the first fioroni harvest have a flattened pear-like shape, purple skin, and a weight of 50–90 g. The main harvest consists of small fruits weighing 20–50 g, black-purple in color with amber flesh.
