The variety is bifereous, producing two crops per season: the first (breba) ripens at the end of May, the main crop is from August to November. The tree is low- to medium-growing with an open crown type, which allows it to be used in dense planting, although in certain conditions the height can reach 5–8 meters.

The fruits are large, turbinate in shape, with elastic dark purple or black skin. The pulp is juicy, dense, ranging from pale red to intensely red in color, with a distinctly sweet taste. The ostiole (eye) of the fruit is closed, which protects against the penetration of pests.

The plant has high resistance to adverse factors, including drought and soil salinity. The variety is self-fertile and does not require the participation of pollinating insects; the fruits tolerate storage and transportation well.
