The variety is a vigorous, large plant. It is a bifere variety: the first crop (breba) ripens in early August, the main crop ripens late, from mid-October to November. It is a self-fertile variety that does not require pollination by Blastophaga wasps.

The fruits are of medium size, about 30–40 grams. The skin is thick, greenish-yellow in color with a red-brown blush or violet tint; fine cracks may appear upon ripening. The pulp is intensely red, dense, with a "jam" consistency, and a complex flavor with notes of cherry or forest berries.

The fruits are primarily used for fresh consumption due to their dessert qualities.
