Variety of Italian origin, widely cultivated in the Itria Valley and southeast of Bari. The tree is characterized by high vigor and a spreading crown. The leaves are medium to large in size, five-lobed, with wavy-crenate margins.

The plant is a uniferous and parthenocarpic variety. The fruits ripen late, in the first to second ten-day period of September. They have a short, thick peduncle, dark red juicy flesh with small seeds, and a sweet taste with slight acidity. The fruits have medium resistance to transport.
