Violetta
ActiveFicus carica L. · Common fig
Plattner Anton
10 August 2026
The Turca fig variety belongs to the Common Fig type, which does not require pollination. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, and the leaves are predominantly three-lobed. The plant responds well to formative pruning, which allows it to be grown in the form of a bush or a small tree, including in container culture.
The fruits are medium to large in size, weighing 50–70 g. The skin is very thin but has good durability. The flesh is pinkish or reddish in hue, sweet, dense, with a complex flavor featuring berry notes and a slight acidity. The ripening period occurs from mid-August to the end of September.
