Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the group of common figs that develop parthenocarpic fruits. Ripe fruits have yellow-green skin and honeyed sweet pulp. Due to the retention of a greenish hue during ripening, the fruits are less susceptible to bird damage.

The plant has a good ability for cutting propagation. Fruits are suitable for fresh and dried consumption. The variety name may group several local forms or be used as a synonym for other varieties, which is typical for historical cultivars.

The origin of the variety is associated with the Naples region; it has been mentioned in botanical works since the 16th century.
