The plant is a deciduous shrub with stiff, upright shoots reaching 2.5–3 meters in height. Large flowers with a diameter of 10–12 cm have an intense blue color with a dark violet-red spot at the base of the petals. The presence of small petaloids in the center of the flower creates a distinct lacy effect.
The variety is late-flowering; the flowering period lasts from July to September or October. The plant is characterized as vigorous and hardy, resistant to wind and precipitation. Winter hardiness is assessed as high, which allows the variety to withstand temperature drops down to -25 °C.
