Variety description

The plant has stiff, upright stems, reaching a height of 1.5–3 m and a width of 1–2 m by 10 years of age. The foliage is dark green, finely serrated. The flowers are large, 8–10 cm in diameter. The variety has a fast or medium growth rate.

The variety is drought-tolerant after rooting, cold hardiness up to –20°C (USDA zone 6). The shoots are stiff and strong, resistant to lodging. It is used in landscape design as a specimen plant, in mixed borders, hedges, and container gardening.
