The shrub reaches a height of 2 meters with a width of 1.5–2 meters. Flowers 8–10 cm in diameter have a bell or funnel shape. The petals are colored white with pink-violet tints and a characteristic bright red center.

The plant is winter-hardy, withstanding temperature drops down to -20...-25 °C. It possesses resistance to drought, calcareous soils, and diseases. It prefers sunny locations or partial shade, and is suitable for landscaping gardens, parks, creating hedges, and growing in containers.
