The plant forms a bushy crown, reaching a height of 1.5 to 2.5–3 m and a width of 1 to 2 m. The green leaves have a slightly wavy shape. The variety is an improved version of the Red Heart variety and is used as a solitaire, in group plantings, hedges, or containers.

Flowers with a diameter of about 12 cm have wavy petals. Prolonged flowering begins in July and lasts until autumn. The variety is characterized by reduced fruit formation, which redirects energy to flowering. The plant is winter-hardy (USDA zone 6, down to -20°C), relatively resistant to drought and calcareous soils.
