The shrub has stiff, upright shoots and reaches a height of 2 meters and a width of 1.5 meters by 10 years of age. The leaves are oval-shaped and green in color. The flowers are single, large, 10–12 cm in diameter, have a sky-blue hue with a pronounced dark purple center, and lack fragrance.
The plant is characterized by good growth vigor, is not prone to lodging, tolerates drought after rooting, and grows well in calcareous soils. Frost resistance corresponds to USDA zone 6 (down to -20°C). Flowering is abundant and prolonged, lasting throughout the summer period and, in warm weather, can continue into autumn.
For the formation of large flowers and to stimulate flowering, heavy pruning is recommended at the end of winter, leaving 3–5 buds on each shoot. The variety is suitable for solitary plantings, hedges, borders, and container cultivation.
