The variety is included in the official register of commercial varieties of Spain. In scientific practice, it is used in experiments to study phytoremediation, demonstrating a certain tolerance to cadmium and chromium in the soil.
In comparative studies, the variety was evaluated for parameters of biomass accumulation, chlorophyll content, and fluorescence. In a number of cases, its growth and dry mass indicators were lower than those of certain other barley varieties.
