The variety is a winter six-row barley bred in Croatia by specialists at the Agricultural Institute in Osijek. The plant breeding utilized lines Osk.5.1/155-65 and the variety Hauters.
In scientific studies, the variety demonstrated a positive response when grown under organic farming conditions, which was expressed as an increase in plant biomass and seed yield compared to intensive production technology.
