The variety is a winter two-row barley with a plant height of approximately 94 cm. It possesses high resistance to lodging, which allows it to maintain stability under dense sowing, but it is characterized by a low degree of winter hardiness. The variety shows good adaptability to favorable growing conditions.
By its intended use, Sladoran is classified as feed or industrial, but it is often considered in the context of malting characteristics. In scientific research, the variety was used as a reference sample when studying the composition of hordein proteins. At present, the variety has been excluded from the current lists of those permitted for use in production.
