ActiveHumulus lupulus L. · Common hop
Roger D Jeske, Joe Brulotte
10 August 2026
The variety was bred as part of the Charles Faram Hop Development Programme and is a "sister" to the Jester and Olicana varieties. It is the first variety from this program to be grown outside the UK. Its name comes from the Czech city of Most, symbolizing the connection between British and Czech hop growing.
The hop is of the dual-purpose type with an alpha-acid content of 7.0–10.0%, beta-acid content of 5.0–6.5%, and cohumulone of 25–32%. Total oil content is approximately 1 ml/100 g. The aromatic profile includes notes of strawberry, apricot, citrus, and spices.
The variety is positioned as an alternative to classic "noble" hop varieties. Due to its delicate and clean aroma, it is suitable both for providing mild bitterness at early stages of brewing and for late or dry hopping in the production of lagers and pilsners.
