The variety was obtained through clone selection and is one of nine traditional clones of Zatecky poloranny chervenjak. It is used in brewing for the production of premium beer varieties due to its fine aroma.

Cones are distinguished by a fine structure and high lupulin content. The alpha-acid content is 3–5%; when using virus-free planting material, the figure can reach 5–6%.

Yield when using virus-free planting material is 1.3–1.5 t/ha. The use of meristem culture is necessary to eliminate infection with viruses and viroids, which increases plant productivity.
