The GI 2091 rootstock is intended for intensive horticulture and allows for the creation of high-density plantings. Trees on this rootstock begin to bear fruit as early as the second year and are characterized by high productivity.
The plant possesses good winter hardiness and tolerance to Prune dwarf virus (PDV) and Prunus necrotic ringspot virus (PNRSV). The rootstock is not prone to suckering and is characterized by satisfactory anchorage; it is recommended for cultivation on high-quality soils.
