The rootstock is intended for peach, certain varieties of Japanese plum, apricot, and most almond varieties. Trees on this rootstock exhibit high vigor, often exceeding the indicators of the GF 677 rootstock. The root system is deep and well-branched, which contributes to drought tolerance.

The rootstock demonstrates high productivity and contributes to the production of large fruits, although it may slightly delay flowering and ripening dates. It is adapted to soils with signs of "soil fatigue" and is resistant to calcareous and alkaline soils, as well as to waterlogging and root-knot nematodes.

The plant is sensitive to Prunus necrotic ringspot virus and plum dwarf virus. Spring pruning is required to control vegetative growth. The rootstock shows the best results on soils that do not contain excessive amounts of active lime and do not possess excessive fertility.
